I wrote A Knuckle Deep Ocean in 2008-2009 when I lived in Iran. Three years later I sent it to a publisher in Iran. One or two weeks later they called me: "Everything you wrote is forbidden. We can not publish the book. If we do, the government will destroy us or you". Three years later I was in Turkey and I sent the book to an Iranian publisher in France. After 4 months they wrote to me: "We can not publish, because of our policy". I understood it is impossible to publish it in an Iranian publisher over the world.
Three years later, I was in the United State and I talked to an independent publisher.
So, now we have it.
